The work that we do can’t be done without your support. We offer several opportunities to volunteer, and we accept donations year-round. Whether you prefer to donate your time, money, or other beneficial items, all contributions help to improve the quality of life for these youth.
Volunteer
We currently operate with no paid employees—everyone serving the organization is a volunteer. Volunteers are informed of best practices when serving or working with vulnerable youth, and they are encouraged to ask seasoned staff questions if something is unclear to ensure respect for youth. We encourage individuals and groups to contact us for available opportunities. We love our volunteers! Without volunteers, we would not be able to function and help to end LGBTQ+ youth homelessness. Here are some volunteer opportunities:

Donate
Donations keep FOCUS Services operating as a nonprofit. We will be accepting four types of donations on an ongoing basis. Currently, due to limited storage space, we are only accepting donations in the form of money. All donations are tax deductible. We appreciate your contributions. We accept the following forms of donations:
Non-perishable
- Canned goods
- Dry goods
- Dehydrated foods
Clothing
- Casual (jeans, pants, shorts, t-shirts, etc.)
- Professional (slacks, button-downs, dresses, etc.)
- Shoes
- All sizes
Additional Essentials
- Toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, hair brushes, etc.)
- Sleeping bags
- Blankets
- Other new/unused essential items
